Police seek witnesses to fatal motorcycle crash

A 46-year-old Paris, Ontario, man succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Friday, Nov. 18.

On November 18, 2016 at 4:12 p.m. a Yamaha motorcycle was travelling south on Silvercreek Parkway North when it struck the rear of a Nissan pickup truck also travelling south.

The force of the impact caused the motorcyclist to lose control and sent the rider and motorcycle into oncoming traffic, where the rider was struck by a Ford pickup truck.

The motorcyclist, a 46-year-old male from Paris, Ontario, was transported to the Guelph General Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

No other parties were injured as a result of the collision.

Police closed a section of Silvercreek Parkway North, from Speedvale Avenue West to Campbell Road, for several hours while they investigated the collision.

Police would like to speak to anyone that may have witnessed this motor vehicle collision.
