Police look to identify man that approached a youth

On October 17, 2016, the Guelph Police received the report that a youth had been approached by a man in a vehicle.

It is alleged that at approximately 3:30 p.m., the male youth was walking home from school westbound on June Avenue. He turned onto Strathmere Place when a white van stopped and a male asked through the passenger window “Do you want a drive home?”

The youth said no and ran home.  

The male is described as between the ages of 30 and 40, with short hair, a greying beard, with a tanned complexion. The vehicle is described as a white cargo van with no windows in the back.
