Guelph police are advising the public to be aware of a suspicious man approaching people for money.
Over the past few months, police have received several reports of a man approaching residents or entering business. In each case, the man claimed his truck had broken down or been towed and asked for money to fix it or get it back. Police do not believe his claims to be legitimate.
The man is described as white, approximately 50 years of age, 5’8” with a muscular build and brown hair. Anyone who has a similar interaction with the man is asked to call the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212.
