Public assistance leads to charges in Erin Public School mischief

On Aug. 20, 2017 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance on Daniel Street at the Erin Public School. Callers reported to police that people could be heard yelling and property being destroyed.

OPP attended but did not locate any suspects. During the course of their investigation, police found 15 of the schools windows had been smashed causing an estimated $15,000 in damages.

Wellington County OPP investigators appealed to the public for their assistance in sharing any information or tips that might lead to identity of a suspect or suspects.

As a result, the OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance as information provided to them was instrumental in the apprehension of the person responsible for this crime.

19-year-old Brandon John Adams of Erin has been charged with mischief over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Oct.10, 2017.
