Purple fentanyl, crystal meth, heroin seized during search warrant

Members of the High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) commenced an investigation in September of suspected drug trafficking of Fentanyl from a residence in east end of the city. Through information received and further investigation, a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant was granted.

On Oct. 18, 2019, members of HEAT and the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed the CDSA search warrant in the early morning hours. As a result, three individuals were arrested and a quantity of drugs and stolen property was seized.

A 24-year-old female from Guelph faces the following charges:
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (alleged fentanyl)
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (alleged crystal meth)
    •    Two counts of breach probation
    •    Possess stolen property under $5,000
    •    Possess identity documents
    •    Fail to attend court

This female was also wanted on several outstanding warrants. She is being held for a bail hearing.

A 48-year-old male from Guelph faces the following charges:
Obstruct Police
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (alleged crystal meth) jointly charged with the female
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (alleged fentanyl) jointly charged with the female

This male was also wanted on a Surety Revocation warrant. He is being held for a bail hearing.

A 48-year-old male from Guelph faces the following charges:
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (alleged heroin)
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (alleged crystal meth)

He will be released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.

The total amount of drugs seized, including purple fentanyl, crystal meth, heroin and prescription pills are estimated to have a street value of $2,075.
