TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Feb. 19, 2018 at approximately 2:50 a.m.,  members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Townline Road, Township of Puslinch.

A male driver entered the RIDE and while speaking with the driver, officers formed the belief that he also under the influence of alcohol. A demand was made for a Roadside Screening Device however the driver refused.

56-year-old Abdool Abdul of Cambridge been charged with refuse to provide sample. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

He was also charged with Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle and Fail to Surrender Insurance Card. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Mar. 13, 2018 to answer to the charges.
