Robbery suspect leaves wallet behind

On Jan. 24, 2018 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Guelph police were called to a gas station on Silvercreek Parkway North, where there was a report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed a male confronted the clerk at the gas station and took cash and items from the store.

The clerk was not injured and no weapons were seen. During the investigation, police located the suspect’s wallet, which was left behind.

At 9 p.m. the suspect in this incident was located and arrested. A 24-year-old Guelph male was charged with robbery and breaching his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.
