TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On June 27, 2018 at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle rollover on Seventh Line, Belwood. Initial reports indicated that a tractor trailer, loaded with livestock feed, rolled and was leaning against hydro lines.

OPP, Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Service and Dufferin County Paramedic (Ambulance) Services attended the scene. A 60-year-old Stratford man was uninjured but left waiting in the cab for hydro services to attend and shut down power.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated and the roadway will remain closed for the afternoon while the cargo and vehicle are removed. Charges may be pending.

OPP would like to remind drivers that if they ever find themselves in a situation where their vehicle contacts hydro lines to remain in their vehicles and wait for emergency services whenever possible.
