Guelph Police Service dealt with 235 calls for service

The following news release was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Five people arrested on various warrants
Police attended to an east end residence, where a 39-year-old Guelph male was located. He was wanted for assault with a weapon, mischief under and breach of OIC undertaking. He was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

Wellington County OPP arrested a 36-year-old Guelph male wanted out of Guelph. He was transported to the Guelph police station and faces charges of possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of credit card. He was held for a bail hearing.

While on patrol in the area of downtown, a police officer observed a 36-year-old male that was wanted. The male was arrested without incident and faces the charges of mischief under and breach of probation order. He was released with an October 2019 court date.

Police dealt with a 39-year-old Guelph female outside of the court house, who was wanted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS). She was arrested without incident and turned over to WRPS.

Later in the day, also at the court house, police dealt with a 57-year-old Guelph male that was wanted for the charge of uttering a death threat. He was arrested without incident with and given an October 2019 court date.
