Serious injuries reported in motorcycle crash west of Guelph

On May 31, 2019 at approximately 8 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles at the intersection of Wellington Road 32 and Wellington Road 31, west of Guelph. Initial reports indicated that a motorcycle and a sedan had 'T-boned' at the intersection and that the operator of the motorcycle had sustained serious injuries.

OPP, Guelph Fire Department, and the Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. A 66-year-old Guelph man was scheduled to be airlifted to a trauma centre with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the sedan was uninjured.

The cause of the collision is being investigated and the roadway is currently in the process of being re-opened.
