Single vehicle collision results in impaired charges

On May 13, 2018 at approximately 6:00 pm. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Highway 6 near County Road 22, Township of Guelph-Eramosa.

Police attended, spoke with the driver and formed the opinion that she was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for impaired driving and transported to a local detachment for testing.

33-year-old Erin Katherine O'Grady of Waterloo has been charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood and Impaired Driving contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 6, 2018 to answer to the charges.
