Speeding New York man sees licence suspended, vehicle impounded

Guelph police stopped a vehicle after it was clocked travelling 121 km/h along Wellington Street North.

Guelph police took a New York man off the road on Tuesday night, after he was caught driving more than twice the posted speed limit.

A traffic unit officer clocked a Subaru travelling 121 km/h along Wellington Street North, near Imperial Road South – a 60 km/h zone – at about 9:30 p.m. 

As a result, a 39-year-old New York man is charged with speeding and stunt driving. In addition to the charges, his driver’s licence was automatically suspended for 30 days and his vehicle impounded for two weeks.
