Stolen Play Station 3 results in charges

Police were advised that a female had attended the store and left with a Play Station 3 without paying

On March 15, 2018 at approximately 10 a.m., Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a theft of a Play Station 3 from the New To You Store, on St. David Street North, Town of Fergus.  

Police were advised that a female had attended the store and left with a Play Station 3 without paying. Officers were able to identify a suspect and attend to the residence of the suspect. 

Forty-three-year-old Sarah Service of Fergus has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. She was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 20, 2018 to answer to the charges.

The Play Station 3 was returned to the store.
