Stolen vehicle collides with parked car. Numerous charges follow

Just after 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, a stolen black Ford Fiesta struck a parked vehicle in the area of Elora Street and Clinton Street in Guelph. The driver of that vehicle attempted to flee on foot when he was confronted by a witness to the collision. The suspect sprayed the witness with a noxious substance and then fled. The male suspect was located by police a short time later and arrested.

The 28-year-old Guelph male was charged with a total of 11 offences in relation to this incident and three other stolen vehicle incidents. Those charges include theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, assault with a weapon and breach of probation. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
