Stolen vehicle tracked by OnStar found stuck in snow

WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP - On Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at approximately 1:35 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a stolen motor vehicle on Ronnie's Way in Mount Forest that had just occurred. The vehicle was described as a white Tahoe that was being tracked by OnStar.

Approximately 20 minutes later, officers located the vehicle on Southgate Road 47, stuck in the snow. Police followed the footsteps that lead away from the vehicle, located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Further investigation revealed that the male was breaching conditions on two probation orders.

Twenty-six-year-old Kevin Harper of North Perth has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and fail to comply with probation order x2. He was held for a bail hearing.
