Sudden death investigation charges

On March 13, 2017 police were called to a Stevenson Street address to investigate when a resident there was found with vital signs absent.

There was also another person in the house who was suffering from medical distress and had to be transported to hospital to receive life-saving treatment.

As a result of that investigation, a 32-year-old man, who was a co-resident of the home, was arrested on March 16 and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance that was methadone. He was held in custody and is to appear in bail court.
