Suspect arrested after Quebec Street church suffers $10,000 in damages

On April 10, 2019 at 3:19 a.m., Guelph Police went a Quebec Street church for a break and enter. The suspect gained entry through the side door and caused extensive damage inside.

On April 10, 2019, Guelph Police units, B.E.A.T., H.E.A.T and Uniform worked together and were able to identify, locate and arrest the man responsible for this break and enter. Stolen property was also located with the man, some of which belonged to the church.

In total, an estimated $10,000 worth of damage was caused to doors, a window and other items within the church.

The 35-year-old Guelph man who was also wanted on two other Guelph warrants has been charged with mischief over $5,000, break and enter, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property, possession of break in instruments and breach probation.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
