Our policing partners at the Hamilton Police Service have requested us to share the following information with our community concerning an individual that has association to the Guelph area.

The Hamilton Police Service published a press release with the following information on Friday June 7, 2019:

HAMILTON — Police Continue to Investigate Reports of Criminal Harassment and Indecent Act.

A 20-year-old Binbrook man appeared in court Friday to face charges of criminal harassment and committing an indecent act after police investigated reports made by female students. It is believed there may be other victims and they are urged to contact police.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, Hamilton Police received information regarding a male wandering in the area of Highland Road West and Picardy Drive and the Binbrook area. The information focused on offences that included criminal harassment and indecent act.

It was alleged by the victims, all high school-aged females, that the suspect would engage them in unwanted conversations which included propositioning for physical encounters. At times it was reported he was persistent and continued to follow the females.

As a result of the police investigation, on Thursday, June 6, 2019, Wyatt Gutoski of Binbrook, was arrested and Friday (June 8) he appeared in bail court to answer to several criminal charges

Based on the nature of the allegations, it is believed that additional victims have not yet been identified.
