Suspect in Riverside Park sexual assault investigation faces more charges

He's accused of assaulting two other women

On July 28, 2019, the Guelph Police Service released information about a sexual assault that occurred on July 26, 2019 at Riverside Park located at 709 Woolwich St., Guelph. The suspect male was described as East Indian, 50-60 years old, thin build, wearing black sunglasses, grey shirt and spoke with a slight Indian accent. He had his young grandson with him.

As a result of that press release the following was learned:
    •    On July 22, 2019 at approximately 9:30 a.m., a male matching the same description approached another female and sexually assaulted her. The female was not [physically] injured.
    •    On July 26, 2019 at approximately 11:10 a.m., a male matching the same description approached another female and sexually assaulted her. The female was not [physically] injured.

On Aug. 8, 2019, the accused was arrested for two additional counts of sexual assault.
