Suspected opioids seized, three charged with drug trafficking in Fergus

On Aug. 12, 2020, at 10 a.m., members of the Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Wellington County OPP Community Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Fergus in relation to a drug investigation.

 Three individuals have been charged with drug offences as a result of the investigation:

Cristy Ramsay, 33 years old of Fergus, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts). The accused remains in custody and will appear in court at a later date.

 Natalie Arthurs, 25 years old of Guelph, is charged with possession of a schedule I substance (three counts). The accused has been released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on Oct. 13, 2020.

 Kyle Rochon, 31 years old of Elmira, is charged with possession of a schedule I substance (three counts). The accused has been released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on Oct. 13, 2020.

 As a result of the execution of the search warrant, investigators seized a quantity of fentanyl, heroin and methamphetamine.
