Tanker driver trapped, seriously injured

OPP say they responded to a report of a truck that had rolled over an embankment on County Road 44

GUELPH-ERMAOSA - On Mar. 10, 2017 at approximately 9:15 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded along with Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, Guelph Fire Department, Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Wellington County Roads to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 44, Guelph-Eramosa Twp., County of Wellington. 

A full-size tanker and trailer had reportedly rolled over the embankment. 

The driver of the truck was trapped and suffered serious injuries. He was transported by land ambulance to a local hospital. 

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the Wellington County OPP Technical Collision Investigators. Wellington Road 44 will be closed between Highway 7 and Indian Trail for several hours.
