A 14-year-old female arrested earlier this month in the stabbing of another teen has been arrested again for allegedly violating her release conditions, say Guelph police.

Approximately 12:45 p.m. Jan. 14, emergency services were called to a residence on Silvercreek Parkway North. Investigation revealed a verbal dispute between two females turned physical and one was stabbed in the shoulder area.

The 16-year-old victim was transported to an out-of-region trauma centre for treatment. She is back home recovering. The suspect fled prior to police arrival but was located and arrested a short time later. A 14-year-old female was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon and released on conditions to have no contact with the victim.

On Jan. 21, the victim’s mother contacted Guelph police to report her daughter’s boyfriend had received threatening social media messages from the suspect.

The 14-year-old was arrested at her home Tuesday and further charged with breaching her release conditions and uttering threats. She will appear in a Guelph court February 23, 2022.
