In the early evening hours of Nov. 18, a resident of an east end apartment building (allegedly) used a piece of pipe in an attempt to get into a locked room of the building and in the process caused damage to the door. When the resident was confronted by the building superintendent, the resident swung the pipe at the superintendent. The superintendent was not hit but police were called to investigate.

The 26-year-old tenant, Michael Businaro, was charged with mischief and assault with a weapon. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
