A cash register and tip jar were stolen from a north end business during a burglary early Tuesday, say Guelph police.

A supplier making a delivery to the business on Speedvale Avenue East near Woolwich Street discovered a broken front glass door and called police.

A review of surveillance video revealed two suspects smashed the door at approximately 12:10 a.m. The first suspect was wearing a dark-coloured winter jacket, a dark-coloured backpack, dark pants and gloves. The second suspect was wearing a winter jacket with fur on the hood and a patch on the left arm, leggings and gloves and was carrying a black purse.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Const. Isaac Cook at 519-824-1212, ext. 7453, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous tip for Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
