On Dec. 11, 2017 Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a break and enter at Sparkle Brite Car Wash on St. David Street North, Fergus. Surveillance video captured a stocky male breaking into the business at approximately 4:30 a.m. that morning. The unknown suspect was wearing a dark winter coat, jeans and a hood concealing a ball cap. He may have a slight abnormal walk or limp.

This incident follows an early morning break-in on Dec. 1, 2017 where a male gained entry into the car wash, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and did significant damage to the utility room. Video surveillance captured the crime and the unknown suspect is described as a slender male wearing a dark coat with a fur lined hood and ball cap. He was also seen riding a white or light coloured bike.

A third incident occurred at the Sparkle Bright Car Wash on Aug. 12, 2017 when four unknown persons entered the business and stole the bank card reader.
