Three face assault charges related New Year's Eve disturbances

All three will appear in court in February

On Jan. 1, 2018 at approximately 1:20 a.m., Guelph police were called to a commercial establishment on Ferguson Street where there was a report of a disturbance. Police were advised there had been a fight, where one male had received injuries. This male victim was transported to the Guelph General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Brian Wheeldon, a 34-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was given a Feb. 16, 2018 court date.

On Jan. 1, 2018 at 1:45 a.m., Guelph police were called to a commercial establishment on Carden Street, where there was a report of a disturbance. One male victim was transported to Guelph General Hospital and subsequently released with minor injuries.

Sidney Restivo, a 22-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with assault. He was given a Feb. 16, 2018 court date.

On Jan. 1, 2018 at approximately 1:55 a.m. Guelph police were called to a commercial establishment on Carden Street, where there was a report that an employee had been assaulted. Police spoke to a male victim who received minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Kurtis Weidner, a 20-year-old Mississauga male was arrested and charged with assault. He was given a Feb. 16, 2018 court date.
