Three facing charges after drug warrant executed

TOWN OF MINTO - On Aug. 17, 2017, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at 258 Main Street West in Palmerston.

As a result, OPP seized a quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana and hashish. As a result of the investigation, three people have been charged.

40-year-old Shannon Dawn Gottfried of Palmerston was arrested and charged for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cannabis Resin (<1g) and Possession of Cocaine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). She was held for Bail.

41-year-old Michelle M. Choma of Palmerston was arrested and charged for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cannabis Marijuana (<30g), Possession of Cannabis Resin (<1g) and Possession of Cocaine contrary to the CDSA.

She was also charged with Failing to Comply with a Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code. She was held for Bail.

49-year-old Donald Norman Stephens of Palmerston was arrested and charged for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cannabis Resin (<1g) contrary to the CDSA.

He was also charged with four counts of Failing to Comply with a Prohibition Order and Possession of a Prohibited Device contrary to the Criminal Code. He was held for Bail.
