Guelph Police Service dealt with 213 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

2017 break and enter solved
On April 29, 2017, Guelph Police investigated a break and enter at the Homewood Healthcare Centre on Delhi Street where bicycles were stolen.

Continued investigation by Uniform and B.E.A.T., resulted in a 23-year-old Guelph man being arrested on April 17, 2019. He has been charged with break, enter and commit. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and enter
On April 18, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Guelph Police went a Paisley Road business for a break and enter. An employee was present and located two males going through an unlocked freezer. The men immediately left the area on mountain bikes taking $50 worth of product with them. They were last seen in the area of Cork Street.

Police arrest four on warrants
A 24-year-old Guelph woman arrested on a warrant for breach probation. She will appear in court on May 31, 2019.

A 29-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for utter threats to cause bodily harm and breach probation. This warrant has existed for almost three years. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 17-year-old Guelph female arrested on a warrant for multiple drug and weapons charges. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 60-year-old Guelph woman arrested on a warrant for theft under. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft from cars
On April 17, 2019, the Guelph Police received three reports of theft from cars. The locations were Woolwich Street, Chesterton Lane and Bagot Street.

This crime is easily avoidable. Please lock your cars and do not leave belongings visible. If you do become a victim of this crime you can report it through the Guelph Police online reporting portal.
