In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 210 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Break and enter
On April 25, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a Talbot Street residence for a break and enter. Sometime overnight, culprit(s) entered the garage and stole change from the motor vehicle parked inside. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact Cst T. Van Iersel at 519-824-1212 at ext. 7557. Break and enter
On April 25, 2018, at 7:15 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Silvercreek Parkway North residence for a break and enter. Sometime during the daytime, culprit(s) damaged the front door to gain entry. No theft has been reported. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact Cst S. Srigley at 519-824-1212 at ext. 7298. Theft from motor vehicles
On April 25, 2018 the Guelph Police received five reports of thefts from cars. The locations were Thornton Street, Shackleton Drive, Glasgow Street North, Swift Crescent and Sleeman Avenue.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
