Stolen Vehicle – Arrest

On February 24, 2016 at 5 p.m. a male was seen entering a vehicle that was idling in a parking lot off of Speedvale Ave. W.  After a few moments, the male fled with the vehicle, a red Toyota.  At approximately 10 p.m., police officers observed that same vehicle located in a parking lot, in close proximity to where it was stolen.  As the red Toyota began to pull out of the parking lot, Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver.

A 40 year old Guelph male was arrested and charged with theft or motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breach of probation. He is being held for a bail hearing.

Mischief Investigation Leads to Arrest

On February 25, 2016 Police were called to a variety store located in the area of Gordon / Wellington, where a male had thrown a rock and beer bottle through a window.  The male then fled but was located shortly thereafter by police.  A 24-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000 and two counts of breaching his probation order.  He is being held for a bail hearing.

Theft

Police are asking the public’s assistance in a theft investigation.  On February 24, 2016, police were called to Regal Road to investigate the theft of a trailer and snowmobile.  The trailer is described as a silver 2015 Stealth trailer with licence plate L8279S.  The trailer contained valuable electronic fire equipment and a yellow 2010 Skidoo Renegade.
