Guelph Police responded to 205 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Female accused of shoplifting alcohol and failing to attend court for third time
On Feb. 7, 2020 at 9:01 p.m., an adult female [allegedly] shoplifted $87.80 worth of alcohol from a store located near the intersection of Wellington Street West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph.

On Feb. 21, the female failed to attend court in regards to the following charges that were unrelated to the alcohol shoplifting incident:
    •    Theft under $5,000 x4
    •    Fail to attend court x2
    •    Escape lawful custody
    •    Transportation fraud

On Feb. 26 at 8:48 a.m., police located the female at a residence located near the intersection of Watson Parkway North and Eastview Road in the City of Guelph. She was subsequently arrested.

A 38-year-old Guelph female has been additionally charged with:
    •    Theft under $5,000
    •    Fail to attend court
    •    Fail to comply with undertaking x2

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Feb. 27.

Female accused of shoplifting alcohol
On Feb. 7, 2020, an adult female [allegedly] shoplifted $27.45 worth of alcohol from a store located near the intersection of Wellington Street West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph.

On Feb. 26, police located the female in an apartment building located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. She was subsequently arrested.

A 34-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:
    •    Theft under $5,000
    •    Breach of probation x2

She will appear in court on March 19.
