Wanted male, fraud arrest, break and enter, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Jan. 25, 2018 at approximately 12:45 a.m., Guelph police officers were on patrol in the area of downtown Guelph, when they observed a male that was known to be wanted. Officers approached the male and informed him that he was wanted. An altercation then occurred between the male and police officers.

As a result of this investigation, a 23-year-old male was arrested and charged with breaching his probation order (as a result of the arrest warrant), carrying a concealed weapon, weapons dangerous and resisting arrest.  

There were no injuries in this incident.

On Jan. 18, 2018 Guelph police were called to a department store in the north end, where there was a report of a fraud. Investigation revealed the suspect had conducted a fraudulent transaction at the customer service desk. The suspect was eventually identified and a warrant of arrest was issued.

On Jan. 24, 2018 Sarahlynn Service, a 43-year-old Arthur female, turned herself in and was charged with fraud under $5000. She was given a March 9, 2018 court date.

On Jan. 24, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a business on Regal Road to investigate a break and enter. Culprit(s) broke into an office overnight and stole a computer.

On Jan. 24, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a residential building on Wellington Street to investigate a break and enter. Culprit(s) entered a secured garage overnight and went through vehicles.

On Jan. 24, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a residential building on Emma Street to investigate a break and enter. Culprit(s) broke into storage lockers on Jan. 18, 2018.

On Jan. 24, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a residence on Guelph Street to investigate a break and enter. Culprit(s) broke into a shed overnight and stole a bicycle.
