In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 197 calls for service

The following news releases were submitted today by the Guelph Police Service:

Obstruct police - arrest
On July 17, 2018, members of the Guelph Police bike patrol unit issued a ticket to a female for having open liquor in Royal City Park. At the time, the female had no identification and provided a name that was not hers.

Through investigation, it was discovered that the female was in fact Tayna Ross, a 41-year-old Guelph female. On July 18, 2018, Ross was arrested for obstruct police, identity fraud as well as having open liquor. Ross is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31, 2018.

Breach conditions - arrest
On July 18, 2018 at approximately 11:06 p.m., Guelph Police were dealing with a call at an apartment complex on Carden Street when they observed a male known to them who was breaching his conditions.

As a result, a 45-year-old Guelph male, was arrested for two counts of breaching a Recognizance as well as breaching an Undertaking. The male is scheduled to appear in court on July 19, 2018.
