Montana Road incident leads to charges

On July 6, 2016 at 9:20 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Montana Road residence and arrested a man wanted on criminal charges. It is alleged that on July 5, 2016 this man had caused property damage at this same Montana Road residence. He also threatened other residents and brandished a knife before using bear spray to contaminate the home. He then left the residence and police were unable to locate him at the time. Subsequent to his arrest a search discovered a can of bear spray, two knives and a small quantity of Crystal Meth and Marihuana.

A 20-year-old Guelph man has been charged with three counts of utter threats, two counts of mischief to property under $5,000, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, administer a noxious thing, breach of probation, possession contrary to an order and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 7, 2016.
