Theft investigation, wanted man, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Feb. 25, 2018 Guelph police initiated a theft investigation that occurred at a department store in the north end. Investigation lead to the identification of two suspects.

On March 1, 2018, one of the two suspects, a 21-year-old Guelph female, was arrested and charged with theft under and three counts of breaching her probation order. She was held for a bail hearing.

The investigation continues as police will be seeking an arrest warrant for a second suspect.

On Feb. 28, 2018 at approximately 2:40 p.m., Guelph police were contacted by a male wishing to lodge a complaint about a theft. Police arrived and spoke to the male. As it turns out, the male complainant was wanted for an assault incident from Feb. 12, 2018. The 55-year-old male was arrested for the warrant.

The original theft investigation is ongoing.
