Guelph Police Service dealt with 225 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Break and enter – arrests made
On March 13, 2019 at 3:09 p.m., Guelph Police went to a Silvercreek Parkway North business as they were reporting that two males that had cut a hole in the fence and stole wire over the weekend were on the property again. The males left the area prior to police arrival.

Police investigation later identified the men. They were both then located and arrested.

Darryl O’Brien, 39 years of Guelph, has been charged with break, enter and commit and theft under $5,000. He will appear in court on May 3, 2019.

Donald Marleau, 45 years of Guelph, has been charged with break, enter and commit, theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. He will appear in court on May 3, 2019.

Break and enter
On March 13, 2019, the Guelph Police received the report of a break and enter to a Paisley Road condominium. The culprit(s) entered the underground parking area sometime overnight and a theft is reported.

Break and enter
On March 13, 2019, the Guelph Police received the report of a break and enter to a Sunnylea Crescent building. The culprit(s) entered the building and broke into lockers belonging to residents.

Shoplifting arrest
On March 13, 2019 at 7:03 p.m., Guelph Police went to a grocery store located on Eramosa Road for a shoplifting incident. Investigation determined that a female had entered the store with her children. She then filled a cart with $141.95 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying for it. She was then arrested. Further investigation determined that the female also had a warrant for her arrest.

The 38-year-old Guelph female has been charged with theft under $5,000 and fail to re-attend court. She will appear in court on May 3, 2019.
