Internet Child Exploitation Unit Executes a Warrant
On March 2, 2016 members of the Guelph Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit, with the assistance of the London Police Internet Child Exploitation and Technological Crimes Units executed a search warrant at a home in the City of London, where the accused resided. The investigation was a result of a complaint received of child abuse images being displayed online. During the search of the home, computer systems, external storage devices and other articles were seized from the home.
A 17 year old male London resident was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Making Child Pornography Available for Distribution
- Extortion
- Breaching a youth Probation Order

Alleged Shoplifter with Drugs Arrested
On March 2, 2016 Guelph Police were called to a department store in the north end, where store security had arrested a male. As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old male was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breaching his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.

The Guelph Police were involved in 214 incidents in the past 24 hours. Incidents involve everything from traffic stops and accidental 911 calls to domestics and break and enters.
