Stolen car – four arrested On May 12, 2016 at 1:38 a.m., the Guelph Police observed a vehicle in the plaza at 715 Wellington Street West with four young occupants. Investigation discovered that the car had been reported stolen on May 11, 2016.

On May 12, 2016 at 1:38 a.m., the Guelph Police observed a vehicle in the plaza at 715 Wellington Street West with four young occupants. Investigation discovered that the car had been reported stolen on May 11, 2016. All four youths were arrested. A search subsequent to their arrest located a small quantity of Marihuana.

A 15-year-old Rockwood male, a 16-year-old Guelph male, a 16-year-old Guelph female and a 17-year-old Guelph female have been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance. All four will appear in court on June 22, 2016.

Search warrant finds bike parts, arrest made

On May 11, 2016, members of the HEAT unit, Tactical unit and IS unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a Stephanie Drive residence. Approximately 12-15 bicycle frames, parts and tools were located and seized. Two HOMELITE generators were also seized and one female was arrested.

Tina SPECK, 34 years of Guelph has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.  She will appear in court on June 17, 2016.

A second individual is still being sought by police in relation to this search warrant.

Property damage

On May 11, 2016 at 5:30 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a city group home for the report of property damage. Two of the residents became involved in an argument and one of them kicked a bedroom door, putting a hole in it. The male was arrested.

A 15-year-old Guelph male has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 12, 2016.

The Guelph Police were involved in 188 incidents in this time frame. Incidents involve everything from traffic stops and accidental 911 calls to domestics and break and enters.
