Break and enter, over 80, drug arrest, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On April 12, 2018, the Guelph Police Drug Unit became involved in an investigation.  As a result of that investigation, a 29 year old Guelph man was wanted for four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.  On May 23, 2018, Guelph Police observed the wanted man in the area of Willow Road.  When the man was arrested, police located a canister of pepper spray in his belongings.  The man was further charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Contrary to an Order.  The man will appear in bail court on May 24, 2018.

On May 23, 2018 at approximately 7:39 p.m., Guelph Police received a call from the public about a possible impaired driver at a south end commercial business.  Police attended to the area and located the man.  After speaking with the man, he was arrested for Over 80-Care and Control.  John Carr, a 70 year old Puslinch man was given a court date of June 5, 2018.

On May 23, 2018 Guelph Police went to a Raymond Street residence to investigate a Break and enter. The culprit(s) entered between 1:45pm and 3pm by smashing a rear kitchen window. The culprit(s) left via the front door. A theft of jewelry, a MacBook Pro and an IPad Pro are reported stolen.
