Male arrested for breaching probation
On Oct. 12, 2016 at 4 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of Eramosa Road and Woolwich Street to investigate the report of a male that was possibly intoxicated and at one point was lying on the road. Police located the man and the investigation discovered that he was breaching conditions of his probation and he was arrested.
Matthew Pleau, 30 years of Guelph has been charged with three counts of breach of probation. He will appear in court on December 2, 2016.
Theft from cars
On Oct. 12, 2016 the Guelph Police received six reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Imperial Road North, Couling Crescent, Cork Street West, Flanders Road and two on Creighton Avenue.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible. In the area of College Avenue/Rodney Boulevard from 8:55 a.m. - 10 a.m. – 6 speeding tickets issued
In the area of Paisley Road/Stephanie Drive from 11:30 a.m. - 12:48 p.m. – 7 speeding tickets issued
