In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 206 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Attempt break and enter
On Oct. 17, 2018, Guelph Police responded to two reports of break and enters to sheds and garages on Thornhill Drive, Guelph. On both occasions, culprit(s) entered a garage and a shed. A tent was taken from one of the entries.

Guelph Police would like to remind residents to consider locking sheds, garages and any other buildings associated to your property, especially if they contain valuables or if they allow access to your residence and/or vehicle.

Theft from vehicle
On Oct. 17, 2018 at approximately 3:50 p.m., a female on Dumbarton Street observed an unknown male enter her parked vehicle. She yelled at the male and he fled the area with her backpack-styled purse. He is described as male, white and was wearing a black hoodie. Guelph Police searched the area for the male but did not locate him.
