Guelph Police responded to 233 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Cyclist involved in hit and run
On Sept. 24, 2020, at 2:30 a.m., an adult male cyclist travelling southbound on Gordon Street near Edinburgh Road South in the City of Guelph was struck by a white Sport Utility Vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and fled the area.

The cyclist did not require medical treatment.

$10,000 Worth Of Copper Stolen
On Sept. 23, 2020, at 9 a.m., it was discovered that numerous two foot copper wire studs were taken from approximately thirty different spots from within a fenced compound located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road North and Woodlawn Road West in the City of Guelph. The approximate value of the stolen copper is $10,000.
