Tip line set up as Watson Parkway homicide investigation continues

COUNTY OF WELLINGTON – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to investigate a homicide after the body of a deceased male was located in Guelph-Eramosa Township just East of Guelph.

On Aug. 4, 2020 at approximately 7:15 p.m., the body of Mohamed Amin Ismail, 25 years old of Ottawa, was discovered along the roadway of Watson Road North just south of Wellington Road 124.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact investigators on a dedicated, toll-free tip line at 1-833-744-8477 in an effort to bring this case to a resolution.

Investigators are also asking anyone who may have taken dash camera or cellphone video footage in the area of Watson Road North and Wellington Road 124 between Aug. 2, 2020 and Aug. 4, 2020 to contact police.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip online. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
