Just before 3 p.m. on October 5, an 89-year-old Brampton woman was operating her Toyota Venza in a Stone Road parking lot when it accelerated forward and went through the storefront of a Dairy Queen located in the plaza there.
A passenger in the vehicle received some minor injuries and fortunately no injuries were reported to any pedestrians.
Damage to the storefront is estimated at approximately $75,000 and no charges have been laid.
