Tractor-trailer stolen from 401 recovered on Laird Road

PUSLINCH - On Wednesday March 28, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report that a stolen tractor-trailer had been located by Global Positioning System near Wellington Road 32, north of Highway 401. Initial reports indicated that the truck was stolen from a rest stop on Highway 401.

Police attended and recovered the trailer portion and its contents, on Wellington Road 32 south of Laird Road. Shortly thereafter, on Laird Road, the semi-tractor portion was located with minor damages. The investigation is still on going. The suspect(s) could not be located.

OPP are asking anyone with a dashboard camera who was in the area at or near this time, to contact Wellington County OPP. Any person with information regarding this incident is asked to call 1-888-310-1122.
