A Guelph man and woman and female face several charges following a traffic stop Tuesday morning.

Approximately 9:15 a.m. Guelph police were in the area of Willow Road and Silvercreek Parkway when they saw a male and female entering a vehicle. Officers were aware of outstanding warrants for both parties and conducted a traffic stop, says a police report.

Both were arrested on the warrants. During a search, the man was found to be in possession of approximately $450 worth of cocaine and the keys to a stolen motor vehicle. The woman was found to be in possession of a shotgun shell in violation of a court-ordered weapons prohibition.

A 32-year-old man is charged with possessing a controlled substance, possessing stolen property and breach of probation. A 26-year-old woman is charged with failing to attend court and seven counts of breaching court orders. Both were held for bail hearings.
