Traffic stop leads to impaired charge

Police were alerted by concerned citizens

On Aug. 7, 2017 at approximately 11:44 p.m., Guelph Police received a call from two concerned citizens with regards to a vehicle that was allegedly being driven erratically. Police were eventually able to locate the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop on Macalister Boulevard. The male driver was spoken to by police. As a result of this investigation, the male driver was arrested for impaired driving. Subsequent to his arrest, the male is alleged to have refused to cooperate with police in providing breath samples. This is a criminal offence and he was further charged with refuse to provide breath sample.

Jonathon Crispi, a 39-year-old Guelph male, was given an Aug. 22, 2017 court date.
