Traffic stop leads to impaired driving charge

On Nov. 26 at approximately 2:10 a.m., police stopped a red Toyota FRS that was speeding in the area of Woodlawn Road. Interaction with the driver led police to believe that his ability to operate his motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver registered a fail on an approved roadside screening device and was arrested. Additional testing at the station also recorded readings above the legal limit.

Darryl Guanzon, 26-year-old Guelph man is charged with operate a motor vehicle - over .08mgs. He was later released and will appear in court in January 2018.
