Guelph Police Service dealt with 241 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Police arrest three on warrants
A 34-year-old Waterloo man arrested on a Waterloo warrant for multiple offences. He was turned over to Waterloo Regional Police.

A 28-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for fail to attend court. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 33-year-old Guelph man arrested after being located in a business he was on court orders not to be at was also found to have a warrant for fail to re-attend court. A subsequent search discovered stolen property, break and enter tools and two concealed weapons. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Stolen motorcycle
On April 15, 2019, Guelph Police received the report that a black 2005 Kawasaki KLR650 had been stolen. It had been parked at a Clearview Street business sometime between April 13 at 1 a.m. and April 14 at 10 p.m. The plate on the bike is 0619R and it is has a sticker that says “Union Jack” on the windshield.

Theft from cars
On April 15, 2019, the Guelph Police received four reports of theft from cars. The locations were Paisley Road, Thornton Street, Stephanie Drive and Hands Drive.

This crime is easily avoidable. Please lock your cars and do not leave and belongings visible. If you do become a victim of this crime you can report it through the Guelph Police online reporting portal.
