In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 224 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Break and enter - arrest
On Aug. 20, 2018, Guelph Police were called to a business on Victoria Road South in regard to a break and enter. Through surveillance from the business, Police were able to identify the responsible male.

As a result, David McLaughlin, a 33-year-old Guelph male, was arrested for break and enter. Through a search incident to arrest, police located what is believed to be methamphetamine. McLaughlin was further charged with possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 5, 2018.
